Informal meeting of Trades Council invitees, 30 November 2022

After discussion with others organising the Trades Council in Hounslow, we are inviting you to an informal meeting of delegates and invitees. This meeting will review the industrial action and disputes taking place at present and set out ways in which unions in dispute can invite support from the Trades Council.

As you will be aware, disputes are underway involving CWU members, RMT members, UCU members, and there are successful ballots in place for PCS members, RCN members and others. Before the meeting, we will hear the outcome of ballots for Unison members in health. On our doorstep, bus workers and Unite members at Hestia are to take strike action.

30 November is an excellent day to hear about the activities co-ordinated on that date. Workers in Royal Mail and Higher Education will be on strike on that day. 

There is to be a UCU National Demonstration on Wednesday 30^th at 1.00 pm at Kings Cross Railway station.

The meeting of the Trades Council (informal) will be as follows:

Venue: Room 6.08, Hounslow House Council Offices, Bath Road, Hounslow.

We will invite delegates who have been in dispute or on strike to speak to us about the progress of their dispute and how Trades Council delegates can assist in any way.
